KOBE & IVERSON OUT, KIDD & LEE IN

The ankle injury that has sidelined Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant for the last three games will knock him out of Sunday's All-Star Game as well. The NBA has lined up Jason Kidd of the hometown Dallas Mavericks to replace the ailing Bryant, sources told ESPN.com. ESPN.com has also learned Allen Iverson won't participate (personal matters) and will be replaced by New York's David Lee. Bryant has played through back, finger and groin ailments this season but has not been able to shake an ankle problem that forced him to miss a game through injury for the first time since late in the 2005-06 season.

Kobe Bryant hit a 15-footer as time expired and scored the game's final seven points over the last 1:18 of overtime to lift the Los Angeles Lakers to a 107-106 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on tonight. Bryant, who had 27 of his 39 points in the second half and overtime, missed a shot from nearly the same spot from the left elbow that would've won it at the buzzer to end regulation. Second coming of MJ hands down! Oh did I mention he has a BROKEN finger on his SHOOTING hand.

KOBE JUST BEING KOBE (BUZZER BEATER)

After a huge 3 pointer by Derek fisher and down by two with 3.2 seconds left, Kobe Bryant merely wanted to drive for a tying basket. His foot slipped when he got the ball, and Miami's defense forced Bryant to throw up an off-balance 3 point shot that was supposed to be well off target and far too long but Kobe is incredible and banked in his final shot over Dwyane Wade's outstretched arm at the buzzer, ending the superstars' sensational duel and sending the Lakers to their eighth straight victory, 108-107 over the Heat last night.

"It was the luckiest shot I've ever taken, by far," Bryant said. "It felt good, [but] I just couldn't believe this ball might go in on this shot."

Kobe Bryant has the NBA title he needed most, the one without Shaq. Bryant's seven-year chase of a coveted championship is over. He's got his fourth, and Los Angeles coach Phil Jackson his record 10th, a ring for each finger. One year after failing in the finals, Bryant and the Lakers have redemption, and all the rewards that go with it. They earned their 15th title tonight as Bryant scored 30 points and Pau Gasol added 14 and 15 rebounds in a 99-86 win in Game 5 over the Orlando Magic, who ran out of comebacks.

With Phil Jackson's 10th Championship, he can light his own victory cigar as he passed Red Auerbach for the most championships by a coach in NBA history.
