Graduation The Musical is a blend of Kanye West’s music and the artists he’s sampled in the past. The ultimate goal of the project was to turn every song into a story that listeners can experience. So many people outside of the world of Hip Hop feel that sampling is a cheap form of production but its the exact opposite. In Hip Hop sampling is a way to keep music from the past alive. Bill Plympton's newest feature film, Idiots and Angels, was released last year, and featured the music of Tom Waits, Moby and Pink Martini. Through The Wire releases November 10th.

Through the Wire is a graphic memoir that illustrates the lyrics of twelve Kanye West songs to tell his story, from his decision to drop out of college to pursue his dreams in music, through his days spent folding chinos at the Gap while struggling at night to make a name as a producer, through the pivotal car accident that eventually set him on the course to stardom and the epiphany of realizing exactly who he had become.

The mission of the Kanye West Foundation, is to help combat the severe dropout problem in schools across the United States by partnering with community organizations to provide under-served youth access to music production programs that will enable them to unleash their creative ability and reach their full potential. The video includes interviews as well as performances of Flashing Lights, Through The Wire, Put On, Hey Mama, Jesus Walks, Heartless, and Touch The Sky.

Kanye's response was dope, he's finally realizing his cocky attitude is getting old. Being a humble dude in the rap game isn't normal but it's possible. I think a lot of people will respect him more once his attitude changes a bit.
