Thanks to modern technologies like ignition keys with embedded chips and factory installed security immobilizers, it's getting harder and harder to steal new cars. As a result, the number of cars and trucks stolen in the United States dropped by 13.1 percent in 2008 compared to 2007, a trend that has been continuing for five years. Total thefts for the year could actually end up under 1 million for the first time in 20 years.
Owners of older cars on the other hand aren't so lucky. One of the main driving factors behind car thefts is to strip the vehicles and sell the parts. The main market for those parts is older, high volume vehicles, so the same vehicles are the ones that tend to get stolen. Here's the top ten stolen vehicles for 2008:
This is probably one of the weirdest things I have ever seen. Its crazy that doctors haven't been able to treat this or even know why this is happening. I feel bad for this kid, imagine every time you cry, water or even yawn this happens.
Ricky Rubio won't be coming to the NBA until 2011 at the earliest, sources told ESPN.com today. Rubio and the Minnesota Timberwolves were informed late Monday night in Spain that Rubio's former club, DKV Joventut, had agreed to trade his rights to FC Barcelona. Rubio will be able to get out of his Barcelona contract in the summer of 2011, when the fifth pick of last June's draft will be free to join Minnesota.
The news came as a blow to Wolves general manager David Kahn, who spent the past several days in Spain negotiating with officials from DKV Joventut, trying to present a worthy counteroffer to the one already on the table from Barcelona for the rights to the 18-year-old point guard.Joventut had shown itself willing to accept a discount on Rubio's astronomical $8.11 million buyout, with FC Barcelona reportedly offering $5.28 million.
The Timberwolves' offer, which could include only $500,000 in cash under NBA rules, would presumably have revenue streams from Rubio's endorsement deals and his four-year, $15.2 million NBA rookie-scale contract ($3.27 million salary in 09-10, $3.51 million in '10-11, with team options for $3.76 million in '11-12 and $4.76 million in '12-13).

JAY-Z: HATE (FT. KANYE WEST) & A STAR IS BORN (FT. J. COLE)
Here are two band new leaks from Jay's upcoming Blueprint 3. The first is a song called "Hate" featuring Kanye West, and the second is a song called "A Star is Born" featuring J. Cole. Of the two, I definitely prefer the Kanye joint. The Blueprint 3 is coming September 11th.
Should we be worried yet? We can't help but notice that each new track leaked from Jay-Z's upcoming Blueprint 3 (due on September 11) has been worse than the one that preceded it (see above). First Hov gave us the awesome "D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune)," followed by the nearly as excellent "Run This Town." But this week we got a trio of half-baked Timbaland-produced jams, leaked in ascending order of stinkiness...
VIDEO: YOUNG CHRIS FT. FREEWAY & BEANIE SIGEL - LAST 2

Here's a brand new track from West Coast rapper Nipsey Hussle featuring the Doggfather called "Gangsta's Life." Nipsey is part of the new breed of rappers that are set on carrying the torch of traditional West Coast Gangsta rap. Nipsey has been compared to Snoop, but I feel he definitely has his own thing going on. Look for an upcoming project featuring both Nipsey and Snoop in the future.
Golden State Warriors forward Stephen Jackson says he has requested a trade and prefers to be dealt to the Cleveland Cavaliers or any of the NBA's three teams in Texas. Jackson's wishes are rooted in a desire to play for a team that consistently makes the postseason, he says, something the Warriors have done only once in the past 15 seasons.
"At this point, I'm 31 years old. I have four or five years left," Jackson told Dime Magazine on Friday. "I want to be in a situation where I can continually be in the playoffs and get another ring. So that's where my mind is at now." "It's not about a decision I made," he told Dime Magazine. "It's just things are in the air right now. I really can't get too much into it right now."
When prompted with a question from the event's host about the Warriors' playoff chances, Jackson, who was attending the event with former teammate Al Harrington, told the crowd: "I don't think I'll be a Warrior next year. I'm looking to leave."

Kobe Bryant has been sporting a custom designed Nubeo watch that features whiskey saphire crystals and a luxury yet sporty look. The Black Mamba MVP was designed by Nubeo specifically for Kobe’s on-court persona The Black Mamba and captures Kobe’s essence pretty well. The powerful looking watch is made primarily of black ceramic, titanium, and rubber, along with other materials. Inside The Black Mamba MVP is a Valjoux 7750 automatic mechanical movement that powers the striking wrist watch. Kobe is personally involved with Nubeo, being featured in the press release, and had a hand in the design of the $285,000 custom Black Mamba MVP.
One of the west's best drops off a little something for his fans to enjoy. Seeing how we haven't heard much from the rapper in a while it's nice to know he's still in the lab going to work. NoSleepForADay EP dropped on his myspace and is here for your downloading pleasure.
Here's another track from Chace Infinite's upcoming project called I Would Have Killed That. This track is called "The Path" and it features the beat DJ Khalil did for 50's track "I Still Kill." Look for Chace on the upcoming Tradition mixtape!
"I decided to attack the beat Khalil did for 50 Cent feat. Akon “I Still Kill”. In classic Self Scientific fashion…instead of talking about the desire to kill someone, I talk about life and my attempts to understand the path Allah has laid. I used the ORIGINAL hook with the homie Kobe. You can tell Akon used the same melody and slightly re-wrote the words. You would have never heard it on the radio but, this is what it what have sounded like, as a Self Scientific song." - Chace Infinite

The friend called the police, who broke down the door and then found DJ AM’s body.

Top speed is 194 mph for only a mere $115K.
People are always talking about how edible lingerie is such a great idea (I personally disagree), but is this just doing to much? Not to mention the bacon is RAW, I don't see how any couple is about to get excited over this, but it is kind of funny and interesting. Any ladies into this?
DOWNLOAD: TURNING POINT DEMOS & LIVE ON WNYU 1988-1991
Once again, Blogged and Quartered is on it, releasing another great selection of unreleased tracks and rarities from another one of my favorite hardcore bands. This time Turning Point gets the treatment, with their 1988 Demo and a live recording from 1991 on WNYU. Turning Point were possibly the best Straight Edge band to ever come from New Jersey... Although short lived, Turning Point made their mark with their original song structures and musicianship. Do your best to find their album, It's Always Darkest Before The Dawn... It's one of my favorite hardcore albums ever released! There is a link to download the recordings and more information here.
The demo was recorded July-August of 1988 at Bill Cribbin Studios in NJ. This is by far my favorite Turning Point recordings. Many of these songs were later re-recorded for the band's first s/t 7" on Hi-Impact Records released December of '88. Great record, but i'll take the demos any day. Eight of these ten tracks were released on the Turning Point discography released on Jade Tree Records in 2000, which i highly recommend purchasing.
The live set was recorded on WNYU's Crucial Chaos show on February 7, 1991. Fourteen tracks, spanning the band's output from '88-'91, including a few unreleased tracks. I cleaned up this set as best as possible, fixing any sound problems, removing tape hiss, boosting the sound, and editing the tracks to make it sound as "professional" as i could. I think it came out excellent. The band played an incredible set which deserves to be heard this way. I prefer many of these versions to the official releases, especially the LP tracks, as the raw production and added energy put these recordings over the top. Classic stuff, check it out.

It’s not every day that little Lotus unveils an entirely new model and it’s even rarer that the company releases a model with more than two seats. The new Evora features a mid-mounted 3.5-liter V-6 producing 276 horsepower and 258 foot-pounds of torque. Lotus claims the 3,046-pound Evora will charge to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds and press on to a top speed of 162 mph. The fiberglass-bodied car is built around Lotus’s bonded-aluminum Versatile Vehicle Architecture, which is lightweight yet exceedingly rigid. Inside, hand-stitched hide and a touchscreen GPS navigation system belie the Evora’s racetrack readiness. The front buckets, says Lotus, are generously designed to accommodate two “American males” and petite rear seats make two-plus-two motoring a possibility for short trips, at least. Pricing for the U.S. market hasn’t been announced yet, but expect the Evora to run close to its prime rival, the $76,300 Porsche 911 Carrera.
I was in my other storage unit the other day and I found some of my hoops letters from colleges that were recruiting my skinny ass in High School. I wanted to post these so peeps can see for themselves that I could actually hoop! Don't be fooled by the tight jeans and chucks, haha. Lots of kids come to the shop and I talk hoops with them and I'm sure they don't believe I was actually decent. I'm am old man now with a bum knee but I'll be back out there hacking little kids! Hahaha! Here's some pics of what I could find: Click to Enlarge

Alex Pardee had a signing at Upper Playground & 5024SEA in Seattle over the weekend. What started out as a normal signing ended in a gruesome bloody mess thanks to a messed up individual... Thankfully no one else got hurt.
"
Within 3 seconds, Lurch rolled up his stained black t-shirt, exposing the lower half of his torso, placed his left hand with the razor blade over the right side of his speckled and girlish beer belly, stared through my eyes, pushed in the blade almost the entire 3 inches, and gracefully sliced it horizontally across his stomach almost the entire length of his torso. There was no blood at all. The skin, tissue, and 2 inches of fat, however, separated from itself as if a tiny Moses had been living in this dude’s beer gut and the razor commanded Moses to part his red skin. Still, no blood...
He then practically teleported the razor to his right hand, rolled up his left sleeve and dug even deeper into his wrist, slashing violently twice, carving a lanky number "11" along a 40 degree slant on his entire forearm. Immediately upon this action, the blood-race was on. Almost to the exact millisecond, his blood began hastily oozing out of all 3 wounds simultaneously, as his stomach incision caught up with his wrist, which was much more immediate. Lurch’s grin was permanent and he looked at me for approval..."
You can read Alex Pardee's story of the event here.
I seen some info on this crazy phone online earlier this week but forgot to get around to posting it. So the phone's clear glass changes with the weather of your surrounding outdoor location which is pretty unique I must say. Forget waiting on your weather man on tv. If this comes out I'm hoping Verizon picks it up so I can get one (Sorry AT&t people). Looks pretty cool I must admit. Can't wait for more info to come out about it.

BREAKING NEWS: HEAT FORWARD BEASLEY CHECKS INTO REHAB
Miami Heat forward Michael Beasley has entered a rehabilitation hospital in Houston to address possible substance and psychological issues, multiple media outlets reported this morning. Beasley, who last year was hit with a $50,000 fine stemming from an incident at the NBA's annual rookie orientation, checked into an unidentified facility this past weekend, the reports said, citing unnamed sources.
A photo of the No. 2 pick in the 2008 NBA draft was posted Friday to his Twitter account, in which Beasley is displaying a new tattoo across his shoulders. That image also captured what appeared to be a small plastic bag on an adjacent table, the contents of which were unclear. Beasley's Twitter account has since been closed, as is another one he used earlier this year.
Under the NBA's anti-drug rules, there are some instances in which a player who comes forward voluntarily to request help with a substance abuse issue is not penalized as harshly as a player who randomly tests positive and is thereby forced to enter the treatment program. The NBA never discloses who is in its drug treatment program.
Beasley finished his rookie season as Miami's second-leading scorer behind Dwyane Wade, averaging 13.9 points and 5.4 rebounds.

After a year out of the game to spend more time with his family, Jason Williams will be making his NBA comeback as close to his family as possible. The veteran point guard on Wednesday signed a one-year deal with the Orlando Magic believed to be worth the league's veteran minimum of $1.3 million, choosing the opportunity to play behind Jameer Nelson with a championship contender over a return to the Memphis Grizzlies."You couldn't paint a better picture," Williams said in a phone interview.
Williams signed a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Clippers in August 2008 but walked away from the contract before ever playing a game for the Clippers, partly because of complications his wife faced when pregnant with their third child. The 33-year old wound up sitting out the entire 2008-09 season when his February attempt to be reinstated, which requires unanimous approval from the league's 30 teams to avoid a mandatory one year waiting period and was voted down by 24 teams to six.
CLINTON SPARKS FT. SLIM THUG & BUN B - PACK THE GAT

The Tennessee Titans felt they exposed a major flaw in Cowboys Stadium during the first football game played in the building when reserve punter A.J. Trapasso hit the gigantic HD screen that hangs over the field. But after a 30-10 Dallas win, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said he doesn't think it is an issue. The NFL signed off on the 160-foot long, 90-foot high video board, Jones said, and he does not plan to alter it. Oh did I mention the screen was $40 million! After Trapasso's punt with 8:07 on the clock in the third quarter Tennessee coach Jeff Fisher threw his red challenge flag and talked to referee Walt Anderson before fourth down was replayed.
"It's an issue, yeah," said Fisher, who serves as co-chairmen of the NFL's competition committee. "I'm sure the Cowboys or the league will tell you, I shouldn't have to throw a flag out there because [the officiating crew] didn't see the ball hit the scoreboard. Now, it's not necessarily their responsibility. Once a fair catch signal is given, then there are no eyes on the ball anymore. So they don't see it. So something has to get worked out. It can become a problem."
As you know the Los Angeles Clippers today acquired veteran swingman Rasual Butler and cash from the New Orleans Hornets in exchange for a conditional second round draft pick in 2016. The seven-year NBA veteran registered his most productive season in 2008-09, averaging 11.2 points, 3.3 rebounds and 31.9 minutes while playing in all 82 games (74 starts) for the Hornets. Butler was originally drafted out of La Salle University by the Miami Heat in the second round (53rd overall selection) of the 2002 NBA Draft. After three seasons in Miami, Butler was eventually sent to the Hornets on August 2, 2005 as part of a five team, 13 player trade.
You all know how big of a Clippers fan I am, here's a little shot of the Clippers biggest FANS. LOL!

LeBron James went to the movies on Thursday night and brought 1,000 guests with him. A few miles from the high school where he became a phenom, the NBA's reigning MVP hosted an advance screening of the documentary, "More Than A Game," a film about James' ascent to superstardom and the four childhood friends who helped him get there.
Shortly after severe thunderstorms blasted through the downtown area, chasing the marching band and cheerleaders from St. Vincent-St. Mary High School inside, James arrived at the historic Civic Theatre along with his girlfriend Savannah Brinson, New Orleans All-Star guard Chris Paul, TV host Nick Cannon and a few of the film's co-stars, high school buddies Willie McGee and Dru Joyce III.James will visit China, London and make other stops abroad to promote the film, but none of them will compare to showing it in his hometown.
"It means everything," the Cleveland Cavaliers megastar said. "This is where I was born, and I like to give back to the city where I came from. I wouldn't be the person I am without this city. The hardships and the great things that I have gone through have all built LeBron James. "So to be able to come back and premiere a movie like this in a building I have seen my whole life is great."
The documentary, directed by Kris Belman, recounts how James and his friends pursued their dream of winning a national championship. Beginning in a decrepit inner-city gym, the five friends embarked on a journey that would be illuminated by a national spotlight as James' fame grew. The film incorporates home video, personal photos and footage taken during James' final two years of high school.

Burn was another one of my all time favorite NYHC bands. Although they were short lived, their debut 7 inch on Revelation, their appearances on both the Forever and the Rebuilding compilations, and their unreleased Last Great Sea demo pushed them into legendary status in the hardcore scene. With unrivaled musicianship and desire to break the mold of what most hardcore bands were doing at the time, Burn remain one of my favorite hardcore bands to this day. Thanks to Blogged and Quartered we bring you a nice collection from Burn in their prime. You can download it here.

Looks like MJ still has his signature fade away at 46. MJ even asks the guy which side he wants MJ to shoot on and still can't do anything about it. Damn its crazy how Kobe has taken that shot to the next level by adding pump fakes and twists. MJ is still the greatest EVER though!
Venus and Serena Williams have found a new sport: Pro Football. The tennis-playing sisters will become the latest celebrities to own a stake in the Miami Dolphins, a person familiar with the deal said Wednesday. The person didn't want to be identified because the team plans an announcement next Tuesday. Another person close to the negotiations said an agreement was near but not yet final. That person also didn't want to be identified because the announcement has not be made.
The Williamses live in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., about an hour's drive from the Dolphins' stadium. Their new role will be significant in part because the NFL has no African-American majority team owner.Musicians Gloria and Emilio Estefan and Marc Anthony recently bought small shares of the team. New Dolphins owner Stephen Ross also forged a partnership with singer Jimmy Buffett.
The Dolphins have said the involvement of the celebrities reflects the diversity of South Florida and shows that the franchise is connected with the community.
Had to post this pic of Kanye and his lady Amber Rose poolside in Miami Beach yesterday! Damn Kanye, I'm not mad at you! Guess there is truth to the meaning "Less is More."
Highly touted forward Renardo Sidney has been cleared by the NCAA Eligibility Center and will enroll at Mississippi State on Monday in time for the first day of classes, his attorney, Donald Jackson, told ESPN. Jackson said that the investigation into Sidney's amateurism eligibility is still ongoing and may take a few months.
At issue, for the NCAA, is how the Sidney family paid for two expensive homes near Fairfax High School in Los Angeles the past two years. The Sidneys moved west from Mississippi so Renardo could attend high school in Southern California. Sidney and Sidney's parents, Renardo and Patricia, met with the NCAA's Eligibility Center investigative arm (led by Bill Saum) in July in Jackson's Montgomery, Ala., office.
The Los Angeles Times uncovered the potential issue in detailing how UCLA and USC passed on recruiting Sidney last spring. Former USC coach Tim Floyd said that USC backed off recruiting Sidney because of the ongoing investigation into extra benefits for former football player Reggie Bush and former basketball player O.J. Mayo. Mississippi State is expected to be a Top 20 team entering the 2009-10 season, regardless of Sidney's status.
Here's Renardo's highlights as a junior at Fairfax High
From the curb, the 2010 Range Rover is still as defiantly upright as ever. At first glance, it’s quite difficult to distinguish the new edition from the ’09 model. Alterations were executed with an admirably light touch: New headlamps, tail lamps, and side marker lights incorporate bright LED elements, and a revised mesh grille crowns a reshaped front bumper. Inside, yards and yards of finely stitched leather and a radically revamped instrument panel. A 12 inch high resolution display replaces traditional analog gauge faces and needles.
Doubtless the biggest news for 2010, however, lurks beneath that expansive hood: Land Rover’s brand-new 5-liter V-8. In the Range Rover, a normally aspirated version of the engine produces a stout 375 horsepower and 375 pounds of torque, while a fearsome supercharged version churns out 510 horsepower and 461 pounds of torque, sufficient to launch the 5,800 pound off-roader to 60 mph in a mere 5.9 seconds.
The 2010 Range Rover rolls into Land Rover showrooms this fall. Pricing hasn’t been finalized, but expect the top-trim supercharged model to start at about $95,500.

Sony just announced that they're going to be releasing a slim version of the PS3. It will 33 percent smaller, 36 percent lighter and have same features and function of the current PS3, with 120 GB drive. It will cost $299 in the U.S., 299 euros, 29980 yen. It will debut at the September Tokyo Game Show. Too bad they couldn't have it out in time for Madden 10. Oh well, I'm still handing kids "L's" on the regular PS3 for now.

Brett Favre is coming back for more. The 39-year-old quarterback turned his back on retirement for the second time in as many years, agreeing today to play for the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings will pay Favre $12 million this year and $13 million next season, according to ESPN senior NFL analyst Chris Mortensen. The contract is straight salary, no performance bonuses. Because Favre is a vested veteran, the $12 million is guaranteed for this season if Favre is on the opening day roster because he is a vested veteran. This also applies to the $13 million 2010 deal.
The first inkling that something was afoot came early today, when two television stations in Hattiesburg, Miss., and Minneapolis reported that the Vikings had sent a private plane to Hattiesburg to pick up Favre and his wife, Deanna. They arrived to cheering fans outside the team's practice facility and the quarterback was in a helmet and pads less than 90 minutes later. His red practice jersey was the familiar No. 4, the same number he wore for years with his now-rival Green Bay Packers.
DID MICHAEL JACKSON MODEL HIMSELF AFTER AN ANCIENT EGYPTIAN?
It's eerie, and it's creepy: An ancient limestone Egyptian bust in the Field Museum is a dead bang look-a-like of singer Michael Jackson.
The big question: Did Jackson, who went under the plastic surgeon's knife numerous times, pattern his ultimate appearance after the statue carving?
Answer: "I have no idea whether Jackson ever visited the museum, but the similarity between the limestone statue of a woman -- which is about 3,000 years old -- and Jackson is astounding," said a museum spokesman.
A history note: The limestone bust, which went on public display in 1988, was carved during the New Kingdom Period (1550 B.C. to 1050 B.C.); the same time period as Ramesses and King Tut.
The shocker: In 1993, Jackson, whose face was then virtually identical to the statue, cut a video titled "Remember The Time," which he sets in ancient Egypt -- during the time of the Pharaoh Ramses. (In the video, actor Eddie Murphy plays Ramesses. It also features Magic Johnson and Iman.)
The curiosity: The nose of the ancient Egyptian statue, which has been in the museum's private collection since 1899, is disintegrating. At the end of his life, Jackson's nose appeared to be disintegrating.
Nasal notes: Famed plastic surgeon Dr. Steven Hoefflin, who claims he began performing nose surgery on Jackson in his teens-- told Jackson he was going to limit him to two surgeries. "If only he'd stopped there," Dr. Hoefflin told Entertainment Tonight.
Backshot: The statue, which was not on view at the museum for almost 100 years, now resides near the exit of the "Inside Ancient Egypt" exhibit -- and has been bantered about on the blogs recently.

Syracuse is going all in on the Greg Paulus experiment. Orange head coach Doug Marrone officially named the former Duke basketball player as his starting quarterback on Monday night, even though Paulus has not played football in four years and has never played a collegiate snap.
Paulus, a high school football star who played point guard for the Blue Devils for four years, transferred to Syracuse as a graduate student this spring. Despite having just a week of official practice under his belt, Paulus beat out sophomore Ryan Nassib who was named the No. 1 quarterback in the spring and senior Cam Dantley, who was last year's starter. His first college football game will be Sept. 5 against Minnesota in the Carrier Dome.

Quentin Richardson and Dwyane Wade are regular workout partners during the offseason. They're about to get a chance to play together all year long. Richardson's wild summer tour of the NBA continued Thursday night, when he was traded by the Minnesota Timberwolves to the Miami Heat for center Mark Blount.
Richardson spent the last four seasons with the New York Knicks and now has been traded four times in less than two months: to Memphis on draft night, then to the Los Angeles Clippers, then to Minnesota and now to Miami. Richardson is due to earn about $9 million this season. Blount was to make around $7.9 million.
"We are very excited to add Quentin Richardson," Heat president Pat Riley said. "Over the course of his career, he has proven to be a fierce competitor, a great locker room presence and a very prolific 3-point shooter who may be one of the strongest perimeter players in the NBA. We feel that he will be able to match-up well against the top scorers in the league."

The Denver Nuggets, who lost Dahntay Jones and Linas Kleiza to free agency, have fulfilled one of coach George Karl's offseason wishes with the re-signing of my homey backup point guard Anthony Carter. Carter has averaged 5.2 points, 4.1 assists and 2.2 rebounds over his 10-year NBA career with Miami, San Antonio, Minnesota and Denver. In 150 games over the previous three seasons with the Nuggets, he has averaged 6.4 points and 5.1 rebounds. He averaged 4.7 assists in 22.9 minutes last season.
"AC's loyalty to [owner] Stan Kroenke, George Karl and Denver is exemplary, rarely seen in professional athletics today," Nuggets executive Mark Warkentien said.

Here's an unreleased compilation featuring a handful of bands that were part of the ABC NO RIO scene in the early 90's. For those who don't know, ABC NO RIO was a notorious punk club in the Lower East Side of New York (just a few doors down from Alife Rivington). There are a few great bands on this compilation including Born Against, Citizens Arrest, Hell No, and Rorschach. You can get more info and download the record here.
The ABC NO RIO compilation (FUCK ROCK) was originally intended to be a 10” record chronicling the ABC scene circa ’90-’91. The name being inspired by the title of a Sam McPheeters essay/rant lamenting the (then) lame musical climate. The bands recorded exclusive tracks for it, a full-size booklet was planned with contributions of ‘zines like: DEAR JESUS/INWARD MONITOR/RIGHT TRASH. Local photographers like Chris(tine) Boarts and Justine Demetrick submitted dozens of incredible pictures for inclusion. I had a great layout in mind, everything looked good to go and then… I dropped the ball; the project became too overwhelming. By that time I was heavily involved with the day to day operation of RECONSTRUCTION Records so the comp was pushed into the back burner until my interest in putting out records and being involved in the “scene” had dissipated.
T.I. - LIVE FROM FOREST CITY CORRECTIONAL FACILITY (MIXTAPE)

Michael Vick was introduced by the Eagles a day after signing a one-year deal for $1.6 million with a team option for a second year for $5.2 million. None of the money is guaranteed, so the Eagles face no financial risk if Vick does not make the team. A remorseful Michael Vick wants a second chance and a fresh start with the Philadelphia Eagles and knows he won't be easily forgiven by fans. The 29-year-old Vick has been out of action since 2006. The former Atlanta Falcons star served 18 months of a 23-month sentence in federal prison, with the rest of it in home confinement.
"I know I've done some terrible things, made a horrible mistake. Now I want to be part of the solution and not the problem," Vick said Friday, referring to his conviction for his role in running a dogfighting ring.
Here's a sneak peak at 10 Deep's upcoming Fall delivery. The video features a preview of a new M-Phazes produced joint from Emilio Rojas called “Bold and Arrogant” off his upcoming project The Natural. Expect to see this new delivery of the shelves of Tradition within the next few weeks.

Dr. Pepper... Headphones... Computer speakers... Where the hell is Detox???
Dr. Dre is part of an ambitious plan being launched by Hewlett-Packard and Interscope CEO Jimmy Iovine, to improve the sound quality of digital music.
Under the new agreement, Hewlett-Packard’s laptops and headsets will feature the Beats by Dr. Dre software starting this Fall according to CNET.
“We have to fix the entire chain,” Iovine told CNET. “Our position is to go to all the sources and try to improve sound and educate people. We can’t put anything weak in the line. Whoever puts out things that sound bad shouldn’t be as cool as something that sounds great.”
The goal is to improve the quality of digital sound files. Last year, Dr. Dre and Iovine teamed with Monster Cable and released their Beats By Dr. Dre headphones in a first attempt to address the issues with digital files.
Celebrities like LeBron James, Snoop Dogg and Kobe Bryant have been seen wearing the high-end headphones, which retail for around $300 dollars.
“I just want our product to sound better,” Iovine said. “The record business committed many, many mistakes in the last 10 years, and I’m right in there. One of them was letting its product get degraded. It’s one thing to let it get stolen, it’s another to allow it to be degraded because then you really don’t have a chance…video games and TV quality are getting better and the quality of our work is getting lower. If that happens, then music will become disposable. That’s something we can fix.”

Los Angeles Lakers center Pau Gasol underwent surgery on the index finger of his left hand Monday after breaking it during practice with Spain's national team, the Lakers confirmed. Gasol will be sidelined at least three weeks. Lakers spokesman John Black told the Los Angeles Times that according to Gasol's agent, Arn Tellem, there were no issues with the surgery, which took place immediately after the injury occurred Monday. The Spanish basketball federation said today that Gasol injured the finger while blocking a shot during the workout in preparation for the European Championships. He will wear a splint for 20 days, but the federation did not say if he will play in the championships, which start Sept. 7 in Poland.

John Wall has yet to play a game for John Calipari at Kentucky, but the incoming freshman is already drawing attention for his high-flying moves. Wall, the nation's top recruit from the class of 2009, dunked over NBA veteran Jerry Stackhouse at the S.J.G. Great NC Pro-Am Summer Basketball League. This probably has to be one of the dopest and funniest sneaker commercials of all time! Kevin Durant (Velvet Hoop) african medallion and pants were too funny. Andre Iguodala (Chief Blocka) is hilarious. Mo Williams (Fog Raw) rocking the jerry curl and Rashard Lewis( Ice -O) rocking the hi top cone head is classic. All their old school flows were fresh over DJ Quik's track. I'm ranking this commercial top 10 sneaker commercials of all time.
Smack atop the category No F'n Way comes this video of Austrian engineer Bruno Kammerl tearing down the "world's largest water slide," catching serious air and then making an impossibly perfect landing in a small blow up swimming pool. And yea, it's sponsored, of course. By Microsoft Project.
LeBron James is going to make the Cleveland Cavaliers wait and sweat. James indicated today that he is unlikely to accept a contract extension from the Cavs until after the 2009-10 season and presumably will become a free agent. At an event in his hometown to unveil Nike Air Max LeBron VII, the latest sneaker in his signature line, James made his strongest comments yet about his future. The NBA's reigning MVP said he signed a three-year contract in 2006 to give him more options once it expires. "I signed a contract in 2006 with an option, and it would make no sense for me to sign that contract if I didn't keep my options open," he said. "I'll let you fill in the blanks."
The Cavaliers offered James a contract extension on July 18, the three-year anniversary of the signing of his current contract. The team could offer the extension at the highest salary allowed of up to three years. James can sign the extension offer anytime before June 30, 2010. James, who will make $15.7 million next season, also has an option in his current contract that can extend his deal through the 2010-11 season.

Pusha and Malice have been "Grindin'" to promote their upcoming album, 'Til The Casket Drops. They pulled out the big guns on this release and enlisted everyone from Pharrell, Kanye, Kerri Hilson, Kaws, and DJ Khalil to ensure that their album is a smash. Here is the video for their track "I'm Good" featuring Pharrell. I'm not a huge fan of the song, but The Clipse recognize that they need to appeal to the mainstream in order to get video/radio play and to really move some units. I can't wait for the album!

BREAKING NEWS: ORLANDO'S RASHARD LEWIS SUSPENDED FOR BANNED SUBSTANCE
All-Star forward Rashard Lewis of the Orlando Magic has been suspended without pay for 10 games for testing positive for an elevated testosterone level, the NBA announced today. The Orlando Sentinel reported that Lewis tested positive for DHEA, or dehydroepiandrosterone, a chemical compound banned by many sports leagues, including the NBA.
"First and foremost I take full responsibility for the situation and accept the corresponding penalty," Lewis said in a statement released by the league. "Toward the end of the season I took an over-the-counter supplement which at the time I did not realize included a substance banned by the NBA. "I apologize to Magic fans, my teammates and this organization for not doing the research that should come with good judgment."
Lewis' suspension will cover the first 10 regular-season games for which he is eligible and physically able to play. The 29-year-old Lewis averaged 19.0 points in the playoffs to help lead the Magic to the NBA Finals.

In a replay of sorts of last year's opener, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics will launch the 2009-10 NBA season, only this time LeBron James has some welcome firepower in new teammate Shaquille O'Neal. Today the league released its schedule, which begins with Shaq's Cleveland debut on the Cavs' home floor on Oct. 27.
