After destroying Germany 106-57 this morning, the Americans (5-0) move on to a quarterfinal matchup Wednesday against Australia, the team that's provided them with their toughest test in China. The U.S. led by only seven points midway through the fourth quarter of an 87-76 exhibition victory in Shanghai two weeks ago over an Australian team that didn't have starting center Andrew Bogut of the Milwaukee Bucks. He was resting a sore right ankle. Germany was a joke while Dwight Howard scored 22 points and LeBron James had 18 points and Kobe Bryant finished with 13 points as Team USA shot 55 percent from the floor and tossed in 11 more 3-pointers after making 12 in their last game.
Coming next week is this dope three way collab by three of our good friends, hardcore band Internal Affairs, world reknown artist Dalek, and O.C. streetwear brand Triumvir. The collab consist of a few t-shirt designs and a limited edition 12 inch record by Internal Affairs that comes in a few colorways that are more limited than your favorite pair of Dunks! For those of you not familiar with Internal Affairs, they are an L.A. straight edge hardcore band that plays fast and furious hardcore straight out of '88. Be sure to add Internal Affairs as your friend on Myspace, and be on the lookout for this collab dropping sometime next week at Tradition.
What made Saturday's 119-82 beatdown of Spain so impressive was the way the Team USA did everything so extraordinarily easy and well. Spain was supposed to be our toughest opponent and they failed to show it! Lebron had 18 ponts and 7 assists, D-Wade had 16 points and 7 rebounds, Carmelo had 16 points and Kobe had 11 but had some spectacular dunks. In my opinion the Olympics is over and we are taking home the GOLD!
Here's the newest mixtape from New Orleans up and comer Curren$y. Neckface is back in L.A. to stir up some trouble. This time, his third solo show at New Image Art, "Cannibal Carnival," is all about taking things out of context to create some chaos. The watercolors featured in the show explore good things gone bad, subjects that become frightening when taken away from familiar settings. "When you see a clown at a circus its funny," says the artist, "but if you saw the same clown from the circus in an alleyway at midnight it wouldn't be funny at all." The original integrity of the medium is also twisted; a method which the artist normally associates with wholesome and effeminate images, Neckface uses watercolors and gouache to depict morbid and jarring scenes.

Team USA came into the game this morning having not forgotten the tragic loss to Greece two summers ago in Japan and had been waiting over 23 long months for revenge. USA got what they wanted and stuck it to the Greeks with a 92-69 win! Kobe Bryant had a game-high 18 points and 5 rebounds. Dwayne Wade was spectacular with 17 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals in just 20 minutes. Lebron James had 13 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 blocks. So with this piece of redemption out of their way, the Americans now must turn their focus to an even better team that awaits them late Saturday night, Spain.
Team USA easily shoved Angola aside. Now come the teams that can push back. Dwyane Wade scored 19 points, James dominated the game with his size and strength on both ends, and the USA wrapped up the easy portion of its schedule with a 97-76 victory Tuesday night. Dwight Howard added 14 points and James finished with 12 for the Americans, who had another rough night from 3-point range but don't appear to be stoppable in the open court. Wade was perfect from the field in Beijing until missing in the third quarter. The United States improved to 4-0 against Angola, starting with the Dream Team's Olympic debut in 1992. That romp is best remembered for Charles Barkley's elbow to an unsuspecting Angolan player in a 116-48 victory. The Americans (2-0) moved on to face Greece, the team that stunned them two years ago in the semifinals of the world championship. Two days later comes a matchup with Spain, the team that won that tournament and is also 2-0 in this one after rallying to beat China in overtime behind 29 points from Pau Gasol.
The United States and China played a basketball game of historic import and global impact yesterday! The country with the best players destroyed the country with the most players, 101-70. And up to a billion people might have witnessed it, either live or on TV, the president of the United States among them. It didn't matter that Team USA only shot 7 for 29 from 3 point range because all they had to do was go to the hole and dunk on China, which we did all game! Next up is Angola tomorrow night..
Last night I hit the studio with Ca$his and Young De. Ca$his was working on his "Loose Cannon" album for Shady/Aftermath and finishing up a few tracks for his Homeland Security project with Young De. Check out the street single from "Loose Cannon" called "Put it up" as well as "All I Be" and "Can't Move Me" from the Homeland Security project. I produced 2 tracks for that record as well, and I will post them as soon as I can. Be on the lookout for a trailer that we are producing for Homeland Security as well. Below are some photos from last nights session.
Last Saturday was the opening of the UNDRCRWN pop-up shop and the "Pen at Work" art show at Tradition. Of course we had to throw a big party like we always do. Here are a few pictures for those of you that missed it!
J. WILLIAMS A.K.A "WHITE CHOCOLATE" GOES TO THE CLIPPERS
The Los Angeles Clippers made arrangements yesterday to bring in yet another new player by reaching terms with free-agent point guard Jason Williams. Williams spent the past three seasons with the Miami Heat and who started at point guard for Miami's title-winning team in 2006! "We are excited to add Jason to our squad," Clippers coach Mike Dunleavy said in a statement. "He brings added veteran leadership and playoff experience to our backcourt." In 679 regular-season games, Williams has averaged 11.4 points, 6.3 assists and 2.4 rebounds while playing for three different teams. He has appeared in 53 playoff games, averaging 9.8 points, 3.7 assists and 2.2 rebounds. I can guarantee my Clippers will be one of most exciting teams to watch this season, just wait and see!
