Tradition is a sneaker and clothing boutique in Westlake Village and Ventura, CA. Jason Gaines and Andrew Kline incepted Tradition in 2006.

Respectively, the ex-college basketball player and former straight-edge band member (Strife), met as teenagers in Thousand Oaks, CA. Exceeding 15 years of combined retail experience, the two re-met while working as managers/buyers at Conveyor (Gaines) and Fred Segal (Kline) in Santa Monica, CA. Sharing a mutual respect for street culture and lifestyle influencing factors, the pair cultivated Tradition - a high-end streetwear boutique for men and women that provides distinguished sneakers, apparel and accessory labels including:

Gaines and Kline enlisted MASH STUDIOS - renowned for products with Kid Robot, Urban Outfitters - to transform the 1200 sq ft retail space into a literal interpretation of their straight-to-the-point attitude. The entrance is lined with dark, unevenly positioned hardwood panels that disintegrate into polished concrete. The clean contrast between the brightly exposed ceiling and the dark, reclaimed wood fixtures emphasize the hand selected streetwear lineup. Tradition has also introduced the monthly release of limited edition t-shirts bearing its moniker.
