Paper Thin – Bambu feat. Chase Infinite from LightWork Media on Vimeo.

The latest music video from Bambu, “Paper Thin,” pairs the Los Angeles emcee with Chace Infinite (half of the West Coast supergroup, Self Scientific). The newest song from the EP, …paper cuts… released earlier this year, aggressively attacks the active gentrification in urban America. The music video was shot in New York City, between Woodside, Queens and the Lower East Side in Manhattan. Bambu’s next project sees him teaming up with DJ Muggs for a mixtape dropping on Soul Assassins before the year’s over. Also, the highly anticipated hat collaboration between Bambu x Soul Assassins x Pnoy Apparel will drop in conjunction with the mixtape.

I’ll just continue on with the postings of music I heavily co-sign. P.SO the Earth Tone King & 8thW1, from the AOK Collective, team together to drop a nice little mixtape off. If you’ve been feeling the other co-signs then this will be right up your alley of music. Dope beats, and dope rhymes. Tracklist and link down below.

Machete Star Danny Trejo Mini-Doc by Estevan Oriol from SA Studios Global on Vimeo.

I’ve been waiting to see Machete since the fake preview appeared before Grindhouse alongside other mock trailers for Werewolf Women of the SS, Don’t, Thanksgiving, and Hobo With a Shotgun. I wonder if these movies will get made if Machete is as success?

SA Studios was commissioned by Twentieth Century Fox to produce a series of viral videos promoting the film “Machete” starring Danny Trejo. Estevan Oriol directs this second lifestyle video in the series, revisiting Danny Trejo’s neighborhood where he grew up and interacting with fans at car shows in East LA.

I’m not too familiar with the other 2 guys on this track, but you know if Freddie Gibbs is dropping a verse it’s worth giving it a listen. Check out “Fa Sho” from Push! Montata featuring Freddie Gibbs and Killa Kyleon.

As you may have heard Jay-Z and the New York Yankees are partnering co-branded clothing line that will be sold exclusively at Yankee Stadium. All the apparel items, from baseball caps to T-shirts and hooded sweat shirts, will feature Yankees and Jay-Z logos. The Yankees said the attire was created to commemorate the first official concerts at the new Yankee Stadium on September 13 and 14, when Jay-Z and Eminem will co-headline in a meeting of the rap minds. The new Jay-Z and Yankees threads will be available at Yankee Stadium for a limited time from now to September 14. You can checkout more detailed pics of the apparel after the jump.

London agency Kitcatt Nohr Alexander Shaw is out with a new television commercial for WaterAid. Directed by Susannah Hayes, the ad features the popular playground song “Diarrhea Diarrhea”. During the first half of the ad, shot at a primary school in Hackney, British children smile and giggle as they sing the song which, of course, is totally normal because, well, diarrhea is funny what with all the farting and squirting that accompanies it. But all that farting and squirting isn’t so funny when it’s rampant in countries like Zambia ans the commercial touches on that by cutting to a boy who not so happily sings, “When it’s just killed your sister and you’re really going to miss her, diarrhea, diarrhea.” The campaign advocates the building of sanitary pit toilets which can help stop the spread of diarrhea.
